Popular Mexican wrestler El Hijo del Perro Aguayo died after suffering an injury while competing for the Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion wrestling promotion Friday night in Tijuana, Mexico against former WWE superstar Rey Mysterio
The cause of death is unknown, but Aguayo Jr. went limp while on the ropes as Mysterio set up for his signature “619” finishing maneuver. The 35-year-old star was treated by medical personnel before being transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
El Hijo del Perro Aguayo was a decorated star in the AAA promotion. He was a three-time Mexican National Tag Team champion, as well as a former Mexican National Light Heavyweight champion and Mexican National Atomicos champion
