Obasanjo congratulates Buhari, asks him to be magnanimous in victory

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has congratulated Gen Buhari on his victory today. In a message released this evening, Chief Obasanjo asked the President-in-waiting to be magnanimous in victory and also fight corruption when he assumes office.

Come May 29, 2015, Nigeria will have a new president in the person of Gen. Mohammed Buhari. INEC chairman Prof. Jega just declared him winner of the 2015 presidential election having certified the requirements of the law and scored the highest number of votes in the election. Congrats Nigeria for a peaceful 2015 election. God bless President Jonathan for conceding. God bless Nigeria!

Atiku Abubakar congratulates Gen. Buhari on his victory

Teenager kills boyfriend for attempted rape

The police in Lagos have arrested an 18-year-old lady, Kafayat Olawale, for allegedly stabbing to death her 32 year old boyfriend, Ojo Ijabike.

The incident happened on Friday on Olutola Adebayo Street, off Idimu Road, in the Alimosho area of Lagos State. Investigations by PUNCH Metro revealed that Ijabike, an indigene of Owo, Ondo State, had attempted to forcefully have carnal knowledge of the suspect when there was a scuffle between them.

Godsday Orubebe’s profile on Wikipedia just got updated that he attempted to disrupt 2015 general election result announcement on March 31. Orubebe, the agent of the Peoples Democratic Party at the announcement of the presidential election in Abuja, had called for the stoppage of the presentation of the results on Tuesday.

Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose has urged Nigerians to accept the outcome of the Saturday presidential election in good faith, saying; “the election result is the will of God and Nigerians , and all lovers of peace, progress and development of Nigeria must accept it.”

Governor Fayose, in a statement issued by his Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, Lere Olayinka, hailed the resilience and commitment of President Goodluck Jonathan and General Mohammadu Buhari (rtd).

Nollywood actress Ini Edo had suported President Goodluck Jonathan but after it became obvious Gen Buhari won the election, she took to her IG page to congratulate him and Nigerians that voted for him

The newly elected president took to his social media page to thank all his supporters. He also called for a hand of friendship to be extended to the opposition party.

Falola Ajumobi, who was adjudged the Best Graduating student at the recently held 27th convocation ceremony of the Rivers state University of Science and Technology, RSUST, says one of the things he had to do to achieve his academic feat was to distance himself from women. He said he doesn't even shake hands with women. Huh?.

After PDP party agent Godsday Orubebe created an embarrassing scene at the collation centre in Abuja this morning, trying to disrupt announcement of results a very calm Jega told him;

"Mr Orubebe, you are a former Minister of the Federal Republic .You are a statesman in your own right. You should be careful about what you say or what allegations or accusations you make. Certainly you should be careful about your public conduct"

Jega's response to Orubebe has been hailed as mature and worthy of praise. In fact, there's a meaning for Jega now. 'Jega' - meaning - 'To be inexplicably chilled in the midst of stupidity or conflict". Prof Jega's full response below

Buhari Support Group has called on the law enforcement agents to effect the arrest of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode for saying that PDP had won in 23 states even when INEC had not announced any results.

The group at a press conference in Abuja yesterday March 30th said Fani-Kayode through his action breached the electoral law "We strongly condemn in its entirety, the recent outburst and blatant misinformation of the general public by Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode that the PDP is already leading in 23 states of the federation. This claim is a total breach of the electoral act and is designed to cause the breach of peace. Gen. Mohammadu Buhari had repeatedly emphasised to his supporters to maintain calmness in that face of provocation by the ruling party.

This recent utter exhibition of lawlessness enmeshed in the typical character of impunity by PDP is unacceptable. We ask the security agencies to immediately effect the arrest of Mr. Fani-Kayode for breaching relevant sections of the electoral act which forbids any organ outside INEC from officially declaring election results. His arrest for further questioning will be a clear indication that the security agencies are truly unbiased participants in this electoral process as this declaration is also a breach of both the 1st and 2nd Abuja Peace Accord. We call on the international community and observers to note the steps being taken by PDP to cause severe breach of peace and call them to order. We also ask our supporters to maintain the peace as we await the official announcement from INEC of the authentic result for the March 28th elections.”

Remember sometime last week kylie Jenner threw some mighty shade on Blac Chyna when the two girls played the game, "Tyga loves me more" last week when Blac Chyna posted a pic of an expensive watch Tyga had given her back in the day, and then Kylie posted her watch -- almost identical to Blac Chyna's -- with the word, "Currently."
