When a man loves a woman crooner "PERCY SLEDGE" Dies at 74


Sure most of you do not know him or better still will think Micheal Bolton actually owns the most iconic song "When a man loves a woman". The Legendary soul singer died yesterday April 14th at his home in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He was 74 years old.

His long time agent, Steve Green, said Percy, who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2005 died after a long battle with liver cancer. He's survived by a wife and 12 children.


When A Man Loves A Woman was the biggest song of 1966 and the greatest hit of his career. It's one of the most covered songs of all time and has and is still being featured on several movie soundtracks. RIP, Percy! see video of the track
