"Love can be found at any age and with anyone" - Tina Knowles

Tina Knowles opens up about her seemingly sudden marriage to actor Richard Lawson. The 61-year-old married 68-year-old Lawson April 12th in a lavish wedding aboard a yacht in California. Tina tells People magazine that Blue Ivy was the one who first brought up the idea of marriage during a vacation with Beyoncé and Jay Z last September.

 ‘Richard said, ‘Oh, Blue, soon. Do you approve?’ And she said yes. That’s the first time we talked seriously about getting married.’ Tina told the publication.


Tina got divorced from Matthew Knowles in 2011 and tells People: ‘There was a time when I doubted if I would find love again.’But then it happened. Tina explained that the all-white wedding has become a family tradition. ‘Beyonce started it, and then Kelly and Solange had all-white weddings,’ she said. ‘It’s just elegant, and white represents the purity of love.’

 She has taken her new husband’s last name and says she hopes her romance inspires others.

"To walk down the aisle and see all my friends and family and to see my handsome man standin' there, and to know that at 61 you can still find love and have a magical day like that … it was really beautiful. There was a time when I doubted if I would find love again. But I was determined to be happy, and God sent somebody into my life. You can find love at any age.
